I heard a lot of good things about Garnier skin renew Anti-puff eye roller. I'm half way though the one I bought, and it's not doing too much for me. It feels great when you roll it on. The gel is cooling, but with the Eye Doctor cream I could actually feel the puffyness diminishing or un-puffing. With the Garnier you just feel a cooling sensation on your skin and then not much else, on my eyes at least. I read several favorable blog posts on Caudalie Morning Eye Rescue so I will probably try that next. Not crazy about the price, but if I do like it their creams last me a long time. And if I use one in the morning and the other at night till I find out which I like best then I think I can justify it. I'll keep you informed.
But in all this research there was an odd little side road I traveled. I started hearing more and more about women using Vaseline on their eyes at night over their eye cream to lock in hydration making your eye cream work harder. There were a TON of other uses too, but that is the one that was an answer to my problem. But ... it's Vaseline... it's a petroleum by product I can't put that on my skin! There is just no way. No! No! No! But it still kept popping up on different blogs and videos in my research. So I bought a tube and had a think. I knew that if I used it one night I would know instantly if it was bad for my skin. My skin isn't super sensitive, but it does react to things pretty fast. The second I put something on it that shouldn't be there I breakout a little. So I knew that if this was an issue I would know instantly. The first night I put on my eye cream let it soak in a little and then a thin layer of Vaseline. It took a little getting use too because you defiantly can't touch your eyes once you have it on, and I HATE gooey things one me. But it wasn't too bad. Went to sleep and the next morning I was really surprised! The greasiness was all gone (not on my pillow case), and my eyes looked REALLY good. Not one sleep crease, no little laugh lines everything really smooth just like I look after I just put on my eye cream, but that was at least 8 hours before. I was really impressed. This was a lovely little surprise find. I used it off and on for the next couple weeks to see if it produced the same result every time and it did. I have to say I'm really pleased with my super charged eye cream regimen now. The goopyness is still annoying. Even as I type I want to scratch my eye, but I can't because I'll get goop on my hands, but if it helps my eyes look smoother I can deal with it. Shadysarita's video on it can explain how it works better than I. My quest for a good de-puffer eye cream is still in full force so I will let you know how it goes.
