These are so elegant, and so easy to make! I just love the idea of a Spring Butterfly wedding. So when looking around pinterest I found this amazing tutorial. They are little envelopes to hold rice for throwing, but would be equally pretty as a parting gift. Really lovely!
Isn't this ADORABLE!!! Wouldn'ty to be so much fun to have a butterfly bouquet at a wedding. I just love this idea! Thank you pinterest for showing it to me.
Isn't this a fun way to put butterfly's on a card! Thank you pinterest I would have never have though to arrangement them like this.
So I'm still in the middle of my obsession with anemones. I've been trying to find a tutorial for making paper ones, and so far ruffledblog has a pretty good one. I'll have to find some time to make some this weekend. Although I know that if I start making them before I know it my whole living room with be filled with them.
Look at the fun easy project I saw on pinterest today! Just the thing to get me in the mood to start decorating for Valentines day!
Isn't this the cutest little wreath for Spring. They call it a fairy wreath. SO CUTE!!!! I love it!!!
I do have a serious thing for Russian Easter eggs. Well I call them Russian Easter Eggs. I believe they are called Pysanky or Ukrainian Easter Eggs. I have a serious love for ephemeral art of all kinds. Mostly because I know that it would be very, VERY hard for me to make something that would last such a short time. And really I guess this isn't technically ephemeral art because you can preserve it unlike sand paintings, but still by the very nature of the egg they are painted upon they were meant to be temporary. So beautiful, and such a lovely way to celebrate Spring.
Wouldn't this be the CUTEST housewarming gift. It is just too cute! Thank you pinterest for sharing your fun ideas for Spring with me.
I was having a really stressful day at work a few weeks ago. It was one of those days where you have so much to do, but there is a roadblock stopping you at every little thing you attempt. I was so frustrated I was thinking about just leaving for the day. Then there was a knock at my office door. It was the sweet lady in the office next to mine carrying a vase filled with roses. Her garden produced so many that she wanted to share and thought my desk could use some perking up. Just that little act turned my whole day around and I was able to finish just about everything I needed to do. And all with the scent of roses helping me along. So I had to make her a thank you card. Of course again work has been so stressful that I just now got around to it, but she liked it all the same. My favorite part of the card are the feathers coming out of the thank you ticket. I had the feathers laying on my desk for another project. And when I got up to get a glass of water and sat back down to my desk
they were positioned perfectly on the card just waiting for me to staple them in place. I see the card crafting fairies were playing around with my projects again while I wasn't looking. They did a very nice job this time so I appreciate their input.
I sprinkled some crystals around the page, the camera isn't picking them up to well on the flower background. It looks so pretty in person with that little touch. And the glitter ribbon I used was becoming a mess so I coated it will Modge Podge so the glitter wouldn't get everywhere. That little fix ended up working really well. I'll have to remember that for around the holiday season. I just love glitter ribbon, but it is always such a pain to work with.

So this is the birthday card that goes with the gift card in the previous post. It's one of those cards where you can record a message. I bought it specifically because we recently watched the movie "Pecker" by John Waters. It really is a great movie, and can feel it's really telling about Waters younger years. Anyway, there is this scene in the movie where Pecker visits his grandmother who is obsessed with the Virgin Mary, and thinks she talks to her. It's really the
grandmother speaking for Mary, but it is so sweet and funny, completely endearing that I had to record it and have it as a special birthday message for him. He cracked up so much when he saw it. It just made his day.
