I'm starting the New Year off right with a fun planner haul from Target's Dollar Spot. I hope everyone's year is filled with happiness, good times, and lots of success.
I've been ferociously scrolling all around pinterest to find my December dashboard image for my planner. And I decided on this one, So cute!!! Now that, that is done I can start planning my holiday festivities, and even thinking about December dailys. I ended up doing it last year and LOVED it. But it's one of those things that you really have to think hard about if you want to do. If you start it and don't finish it you really feel like you let yourself down. But I loved looking though it as time passes, but I'm so behind on my regular scrapbooking how will I have time for this too. Also, you know it will be super hard to keep up with it so you have to have a great system of keeping your thoughts organized so that you can collect your pictures, and journaling then later fill in the blanks. Clearly, I have to give this some more thought.
This is such a sweet little Thanksgiving greeting I found on pinterest. I had to make it my dashboard this month in my planner. Just too cute!
Just made a quick and easy pen loop for my new planner. The pen loops I buy never stay on, and though this one doesn't look that pretty I can tell you that pen is NEVER coming off. Also, I'll probably glue something over the blob so I'll never see it. All I did was take a little piece of 1/8 inch elastic in white. Then colored it to match my planner with a copic marker (copics are alcohol based so it will color just about anything). Then glued it in place with Crystal Accents. Make sure the ends of the elastic are glued directly on top of one another. If they lay side by side then your pen will hang crooked, and that would drive me NUTS!
Here is the thing, I dearly love planners. Just like everyone else I completely freaked out when they got popular again and have tried out SEVERAL of them. I really liked my Erin Condren but spiral bound is just WAY too confining to me. I want a Kiki K soooo much, but it is WAY too expensive. And because it is so expensive I know I won't use it. I will want to keep it pristine, so no touching. Then Marion Smith came out with her first planner and I couldn't give her my money fast enough. It is STUNNING, but like I thought I love it so much I don't want to ruin it by using it. So there it sits on my shelf looking at me while I work on projects. Sometime I will look over my shoulder and look at it and smile... because I am freakish that way. With all this trial and error I have become smarter though. Instead of buying a midori I made my own and tried it out... nope didn't keep up with it. So I got a moleskine and bullet journaled. It worked for a little bit, but I need pre-printed pages to make me happy. Especially the monthly calendar, it has to have dates and holidays in it. So it utter desperation I found myself looking around target. When I always go when I'm totally desperate. And low and behold I found this little beauty. The Mead Cambridge edition 2015-2016 Weekly Monthly Planner in a beautiful sky blue (trust me the color is beautiful even if the inferior pictures don't show it). I love the layout of the pages, very clean and elegant. Of course I'm going to get weird with it because it's a spiral bound, but the calendar and weekly pages might make up for that. AND... it's small enough to fit in a little avery binder so I might uncoil it, and see what happens.
Oooooooo look at this teal and gold Kiki K planner. Soooo pretty!!!! Thank you pinterest for showing this to me!
I was searching all over the place for a really clever way to make a pen loop for my planner. The pen loop in the picture below is from Clover and Dot and it is a super quick way to make one. The second one that I really like is a video on youtube by Robyn Lott for a movable pen loop that is AWESOME! These tutorial will make my life so much easier.
Just a few more things on my wish list for my Marion Smith Planner. Seriously, how adorable are those stamps. And the pink foil dashboard is to die for!
YEP, super in love with the new heart of gold Marion Smith A5 planner!!!! I want pretty much everything Marion Smith has in her planner shop.
Oooooo I just found these on pinterest, and they are SUCH a good idea. It's a printable from YellowPaperHouse. Such a great addition to a planner. And It's such a great little shop on Etsy for all kinds of planners.
Welcome to my little corner of the internet. This is my space where I can showcase my obsession with paper crafting, and a few products I've cooked up along the way. Thank you so much for stopping by.
