Came home the other night to this. Yes that is monkey in military garb. It seems monkeys father, my boyfriend, didn't like me sharing his candy. He even used the word "stealing". So he set monkey the task to guard it from now on. I think monkey is taking it a bit too far don't you. He has even been watching nat geo to figure out some silver back gorilla moves.
My boyfriend and I just love that show Family Tree on HBO. I have always had a deep love for monkeys (two years studying Primatology for an Anthropology degree will do that to you). So when I saw Nina Conti with Monk (or Monkey) that sealed the deal for me watching the show. Also, I have LOVED Chris O'Dowd ever since The IT Crowd on BBC.
When my boyfriend goes on business trips he usually brings me back a stuffed monkey from the state he visited. This time he made sure to find one that looked like Monk. So he sits by the TV and watches the show with us.
So on this weeks show Monkey traveled to a Native American reservation and bought an Indian headdress along the way. I swear I heard little sighs of jealousy coming from where my monkey was sitting. And he did look a little sad. So after the show I got up to do the dishes, and before I knew what was happening bits of colored cardstock was flying everywhere. I saw a flash of my tonic scissors, bits of bakers twine, and my quick dry glue whipping around the living room. I ran into see what was going on and there was my monkey sitting just where he always sits, but wearing a handmade headdress looking very satisfied. I guess since he sits and watches me make things all day it was only natural for him to make this for himself. I have to say he has very good craftmanship, though I have no idea how he uses the scissors without thumbs.
Welcome to my little corner of the internet. This is my space where I can showcase my obsession with paper crafting, and a few products I've cooked up along the way. Thank you so much for stopping by.
