I've been racking my brain the last few weeks for some decent office snacks. I've decided that I absolutely have to stock my desk with good snack food or this evil monster will come out of me around 1:00 pm. I'm usually so focused that I will work right though breakfast and lunch without thinking then all of a sudden I'm starving and grabbing anything to eat in arms length. Unfortunately, everything at arms length is extremely unhealthy around my office so stocking my desk is a barrier to protect me from the monster. My newest thing is to buy real oatmeal keep it in a baggie under my desk with dried fruit, and maybe sweetener (I've done without it a lot lately, but you never know). Then all you have to do is throw it in a cup with a little water, and microwave for two minutes. Oatmeal usually keeps me going for at least another hour and a half till I can get to some decent lunch spot.
