With all the Halloween stamp releases being posted I decided to pull out last years Halloween supplies, and have a little fun. I'm just completely in love with this little Halloween diarama I made. The rosettes and pine sprigs are my favorite!
Just made a little thinking of you card for a friend. It was kind of amazing how fast it came together. But that is the power of Tim holtz stamps.

I was innocently running into Michael's just for some quick dry glue. Nothing more, just minding my own busniess. And what do I run into? THE CUTEST FELT PUMPKINS YOU HAVE EVER SEEN!!! Now exactly how am I supposed to resist that? Well, as you can see I can't. So it started with the pumpkins. Then I saw the little wood owls, and a few other things. Before you know it I was fully immersed into decorating for Halloween. Yeah, I know it's August, but if they are going to put it out this early to sell. Then I am going to start decorating this early! The flowers were 50% off which is the nice thing about shopping so early. And then all of a sudden one of my holiday focal shelves was completely decorated in my head. I usually go mostly black, and green for Fall, but since I fell in love with the pumpkins I decided to go yellow, purple, and orange. Then I think I will paint up the little paper mache pumpkins I bought (not pictured) in antique rustic creme, and brown with black, and gold accent.
So here are pictures of the beginning of my project. I painted the owls a lovely eggplant color with purple glitter on their wings. I also bought a flower frog so they could stand up behind the flowers. I arranged the flowers into a bunch. Wired them together with floral wire, and then glued the stems together to reinforce them. Then assembled the felt pumpkin kit so I could see their smiling faces gleaming back at me. I'll post updates in the next few weeks as the decorations continue.
I decided I need a large star-burst or sun-ray stamp. So I decided to make one. Also, I'm trying to ignore the tiny little migraine that is building up behind my right eye. Its working for now, and I will have a lovely stamp to play with in another hour... win... win.
Just finished up a birthday card for my sister. She has a thing for bats so this little guy is flying in to wish her well. I just love the little happy birthday banner he carries in his mouth. He looks very determined to deliver his message. Leaving a cloud of gold sequins in his wake.

Today I am becoming best friends with my envelope punch board. I just received my first card commission, and need to become proficient at making envelopes. The owner of Nacreous Alchemy needs a pack of mini cards and envelopes to hold little business cards, and receipts. I just love the design I came up with for her. And more importantly so does she. So it's off to fold, and cut, and fold, and cut, and fold again for this evening.
Welcome to my little corner of the internet. This is my space where I can showcase my obsession with paper crafting, and a few products I've cooked up along the way. Thank you so much for stopping by.
