Needed to make a quick birthday card for a friend. This is why I love my punches soooo much! They make everything so fast and simple. And I'm very happy with how it turned out.
Just finished up a birthday card for my sister. She has a thing for bats so this little guy is flying in to wish her well. I just love the little happy birthday banner he carries in his mouth. He looks very determined to deliver his message. Leaving a cloud of gold sequins in his wake.

A lovely friend of mine had a birthday not to long ago. I made her a hair comb for the occasion. It's made out of clock hands with a large red glass jewel, then faux finished in a yummy distressed gold color. She admired something similar to it in my EJPcreations shop so I had to make a special one just for her. I made it so it would mimic a peacock feather, but in a very mechanical steampunk neo-Victorian way. And of course since I put so much time into making her gift I had to put equally as much time into the wrapping of it.
I made a lovely little card for her using the new Jenni Bowlin Photo Album stamp. A few weeks ago I posted a video using another one of these stamps in the series making a similar card on my youtube channel.

So my Mother's birthday was quickly approaching. I had everything all made and ready for her special day. And then the weekend before my sister saw a card I had made for another family member, and she instantly said I am
commissioning you to make Mom's birthday card for me. She is the sister in the family who
writes the most beautiful, sentimental notes in cards. They always make you cry so I had to make a card as lovely as her words. I have to admit I out did myself on this one. And it was a big hit at the party.

So this is the birthday card that goes with the gift card in the previous post. It's one of those cards where you can record a message. I bought it specifically because we recently watched the movie "Pecker" by John Waters. It really is a great movie, and can feel it's really telling about Waters younger years. Anyway, there is this scene in the movie where Pecker visits his grandmother who is obsessed with the Virgin Mary, and thinks she talks to her. It's really the
grandmother speaking for Mary, but it is so sweet and funny, completely endearing that I had to record it and have it as a special birthday message for him. He cracked up so much when he saw it. It just made his day.

So my favorite man in the whole world birthday was quickly approaching. All the gifts were purchased, but there was this one video game I wanted to get him. I couldn't figure out if he really wanted it or if there was something else he wanted more. And with video games you have to shop around for the best price, or where the aren't sold out of them. So I decided to just give him the money for it. A little tacky I know, but he is a guy he doesn't care about such things. And at least I could dress up the money to make it respectable in a lovely gift card holder. Now the tough part. How do I make my style bend to make a more masculine item. Well... it was hard, and really the only thing I came up with was to make it simple, tone down the accessories, and make the color work for me. And as you can see the design is very toned down for me. With a very simple color pallet. But the design
still carries a fun punch to it. And I wrote happy birthday on it instead of stamping it because I wanted it to be a little bit more personal. He ended up loving it. And as I thought there was a different game that he wanted more. That he had to travel to 5 stores to find. So I continue my reign as best girlfriend in the world.

There is just something that comes over me when I have a My Minds Eye paper pack in my hand. It's a sort of glazed over look while my mind is filling with endless possibilities. I had bought this one (My Minds Eye Portobello Road) a little while ago. So when I found out about the birth of my friends baby boy my hands instantly reached for this pad. Because it has the PERFECT shade of blue for a little boy card.
I just love the look of those Tim Holtz flock of birds stamp against the flags. I put glossy accents over them to make them stand out a little more.
Here is the matching card I made for the new baby's amazing Mommie.
And as a little push present for the glowing mommie. I made her a lovely little clock hand hair comb for her amazing red hair. I have another shop where I make jewelry, hair accessories, and tiaras called EJPcreations.

This is my favorite birthday card that I have made to date. It has all the elements that I love. The banners, that amazing oval die (Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Inverted Oval), and adorable skeleton with a pinwheel and bow tie, and as much stickles as the card can hold. Not to mention it was for one of my favorite people on the planet the woman behind the creations of Nacreous Alchemy . It was made with Recollections Bon Appetite
Halloween Stamps, and Recollections Halloween paper. Oh and tons of Vintage Photo sponging. The banners and everything else was hand cut except for the amazing ovals. Ooooooo ... I love that die set so much I could marry it!

Just a sweet little card I made for my sisters birthday using some Bo Bunny and Kaiser craft stamps. As well as the Basic Grey "what's up" paper. I went a little crazy with the glossy accents. You can't really tell from the pictures, but all the words have a thick coat of it making it look like a sort of enamel sign. And on the front I mixed in diamond stickles with the glossy accents for a pretty shimmery effect. She loved it so I was happy.
